Annual Report
The third Annual Report is brought out by the Association. It has been almost a year since the last annual report in which some of the major events were planned and executed. This report therefore covers the entire period from January 2007 till October 2008. In the true spirits of TOSA-OY, the members who participated in the events demonstrated true solidarity and complete commitment in helping the TOSA-OY executive members achieve the various objectives set out in the annual plan of the association. A lot of major events like the fund raising activities, TOSA-OY Nite, addition & election of the new executive members, On-spot Essay and drawing competition and the TOSA-OY FETE were also organized during this period and the Association welcomed a total of 20 new members to the TOSA-OY family. The Association will also be conducting a Centenary Dzongkha Extempore Competition on December 12, 2008 at the YHS Auditorium dedicated to the ongoing Centenary Celebration. TOSA-OY Fete
As approved in the 36th AGM of the TOSA-OY, the TOSA-OY Fete for the year 2008 was held on May 31, 2008 at the YHSS Sports Ground. The Occasion was graced by the queen of Bhutan, Her Majesty Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck and the President of the School Management Committee, Lyonpo Kinzang Dorji.

Election of additional office bearers
With the ever increasing new members and the increase in the activities and responsibilities of the Association, the need was felt to increase the number of the office bearers. Therefore, prior to the approval of the 35th AGM, the following additional office bearers were elected respectively;

Foreword
Having realized the need to keep the spirit of Yangchenphug alive by preserving the wonderful past and working on the promising future and having recognized that this objective can best be achieved through the collective efforts and dedication of greater number of people, the alumni of the Yangchenphug decided to form an apolitical and non-profit oriented association with its registered office at the premises of the Yangchenphug School in January 1989.
The Association known as “The Old Students Association of Yangchenphug” (TOSA-OY) functions with the following aims and objectives:
• Strengthen relations amongst ex-students of Yangchenphug in order to keep the bonds of fraternity alive
• Pay tribute to His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the third King of Bhutan; love for school, and respect for teachers through the commemoration of important events and occasions associated with the school
• Help each other morally, physically and materially in hours of need and despair
• Assist the school, if need be, in upholding its MOTTO for excellence in academic and sports standards
• Promote the country’s rich cultural tradition, heritage and sports among the youth
• Support and promote all RGOB’s policies, national integration amongst TOSA-OY.

Tosaoy Nite
On September 16, 2007, the Executive Committee organized the TOSA-OY nite for all the existing and the new members with an objective to keep the spirit of the Association and the school alive.

Open Essay Competition
As approved in the 33rd AGM of the TOSA-OY, the Association organized an open essay competition for the students of Thinleygang MSS with an aim to promote literary participation in the rural community as well as to create awareness of the Association to the students, who may in future join the Yangchenphug family.
